All these airlines fly into local airports serving this area of France. Driving time from these airports range between 1¼ and 3 hours - see below.

All airlines offer competitive car hire from about £130 per week, and you are advised to book in advance and online. A car is essential as there is NO public transport in this area. Car hire firms operating at the local airports include Avis, Budget, Carrentals (see the panel), Europcar, Hertz and others.

 

The local filling station will only accept ‘chip & pin’ credit cards, so do remember your pin number.

Channel ports - ranging from St Malo (450 miles—approx 8 - 9 hrs) to Calais (650 miles—approx 10¼ -13hrs depending on route used)

Spanish port of Santander (254 miles approx 4½ hrs)

Pau - 59 miles about 1¼ hr drive via motorway

Toulouse - 68 miles about 1¾ hr drive. Less by motorway.

Biarritz - 119 miles about 2¼ hr drive via motorway

Bergerac—130 miles  approx 3 hr drive

Carcassonne—135 miles approx 2¾ hr drive via Toulouse and motorway     

Bordeaux - 140 miles approx 2¾ hr drive
